The Education discipline at the School of Humanities, Jiangnan University, was approved as a Master's degree program in Education in 2019. It has developed a discipline team with a reasonable academic structure, diverse academic backgrounds, and strong research capabilities. Currently, the Master's program in Education (Modern Educational Technology) has a team of 3 professors, 10 associate professors, and a nearly 100% doctorate ratio among the faculty. In recent years, they have undertaken over 30 national, provincial, and ministerial-level projects, published more than 10 books and textbooks, and published nearly 180 high-quality papers included in SSCI, CSSCI, and other prestigious indexes. Graduates from the program, besides pursuing doctoral degrees, mainly find employment in basic education, government agencies, and research institutes. The research team of the Master's program in Education has gained recognition and praise from academia and society for its talent cultivation, scientific research, social services, and innovative cultural inheritance.


The Master's program in Modern Educational Technology at the School of Humanities, Jiangnan University aims to cultivate personnel for information technology teaching positions in basic education schools and secondary vocational and technical schools who possess modern educational technology concepts, good professional ethics and innovative awareness, solid education technology theory and discipline-specific knowledge, comprehensive teaching practice, and research capabilities. The specific objectives are as follows:

1. Love the country, support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, love the cause of education, abide by the professional ethics norms of teachers, cultivate moral character, be a role model for others, be proactive, and be courageous in innovation.

2. Familiar with the information technology curriculum standards, grasp the new concepts, content, and methods of the reform of basic education information technology curriculum, have solid modern educational technology theory and discipline-specific knowledge, be able to organically integrate modern information technology with education concepts, analyze and solve practical problems in education and teaching, and creatively carry out education and teaching work.

3. Possess comprehensive ability in the design, development, management, application, and evaluation of digital learning processes and learning resources, be able to teach and conduct research in information technology and general technology, and carry out teaching and management work related to the teaching informationization system of various schools and educational administrative departments.

4. Possess good educational research literacy, strong educational practice and reflection ability, and actively carry out educational research activities using information technology means, continuously improve the quality of education, and promote their own professional development.
