Ⅱ、 Educational Objectives and Requirements
1. Educational Objectives
Choreography major to adapt to the national higher art education reform and development requirements, based on jiang-su, facing the whole country, cultivating inter-disciplinary dance talent. Who should possess high quality and strong comprehensive ability, integrating choreography, performance, education together. And who has a noble humanistic feelings and outstanding artistic culture. The inter-disciplinary dance talent should to do Business performance, education, director, planning and other related cultural and artistic work in the professional art groups, schools, TV, enterprises and institutions, etc.,
Graduates should obtain knowledge and competences as follows:
(1)Procuring the basic techniques of dance choreography, and be able to independently create solo, pas de deux, pas de trois and group dance works. Be able to have the basic ability of an excellent choreographer. Also, can plan and organize artistic activities creatively.
(2)Procuring the performance techniques of ballet, Chinese classical dance, Chinese folk dance and modern dance. Have the basic skills to be a dancer.
(3)Understand the basic theories and methods of dance teaching, have the ability to teach dance independently, and be able to engage in dance teaching.
(4)Possessing a certain understanding of Chinese and foreign dance history, remain attentive to dance trends and have certain dance research ability
(5)Five years after graduation, becoming the core figure of literature and art in their company, and fully demonstrate the comprehensive strength and professional quality of senior compound dance talents. Creating/performing/directing dance works to win awards in dance competitions or exhibitions at all levels and be recognized by the audience.
2. Graduation Requirements
Has the humanities and social literacy, social responsibility, to be able to understand and follow professional ethics in practice and specification: mastering choreographer professional creative, performance, teaching the basic professional ability such as: able to use the basic principle of dance choreographer road, in the creation, seminars, lectures and other activities, find the problems in the nation, analyze the dance creation, in order to obtain valid conclusion: able to obtain the knowledge of information for effective analysis and processing, and translated into their own knowledge, have certain dance research ability: to judge the quality of the work of art, the value of academic achievements And so on form the basic identification ability, has the high art as a penetration force and aesthetic level of art development status and trends have a certain understanding, and could carry out the party's reference and judging: able to embody the creative thinking in the study and practice, and actively try to innovation: the ability to art practice and innovative thinking, design, planning and summary, and through the practice, in the form of text, discourse and communication and expression.

Requirement 4: Basic computer knowledge. And basic computer operations |

Requirement 6: Master the basic principles of dance. |
