Educational Objectives and Requirements  

1. Educational Objectives

This major is to train modern outstanding primary school teachers with profound educational feelings, solid professional foundation, excellent teaching skills, outstanding research ability and broad international frontier vision, as well as high-level specialized talents engaged in primary education teaching research and management.  

Graduates should obtain knowledge and competences as follows:

(1) have educational ideals, engaging in or paying attention to educational undertakings.

(2) competent in teaching primary school Chinese or mathematics in schools or educational training institutions, or competent in primary school teaching research, or competent in education management, and become the backbone of their respective education industries.

(3) apply pedagogical and psychological theories and techniques to self-development, work communication and training, help others and family education.

(4) have the awareness and ability of lifelong learning developed by teachers, and have a continuous understanding of cutting-edge educational theories and technologies at home and abroad.

2. Graduation Requirements

Not only have the ideal and quality of education major, but also have the accomplishment of science, humanities and arts, and the interdisciplinary consciousness. They should pass the teacher qualification examination, and be able to teach the subject of Chinese or mathematics of primary school. They should be able to conduct teaching research on Chinese or mathematics of primary school. Based on the psychological knowledge of primary school students, they can conduct education diagnosis and management. They should understand the international cutting-edge education theories and trends, master some cutting-edge education technology. They should have the awareness and ability of lifelong learning ability.

  Master the basic language, writing, communication and cooperation skills of   primary school teachers, and master the skills of interdisciplinary teaching,   intelligent teaching, information technology and other cutting-edge   technologies of modern education.

6-1. Fluent in mandarin speaking, and accurate in   writing

6-2. Familiar with modern information technology,   education artificial intelligence technology and integrate it into daily   teaching

6-3. Design interaction and evaluation activities   according to interdisciplinary learning requirements

To understand the basic   knowledge of mental health education of primary school students, and to learn   to diagnose and guide the common learning behavior problems of then.
