The music and Dance Research Center of Jiangnan University has 22 full-time researchers, including 3 professors, 16 associate Professor, 3 persons with a doctorate, 1 Committee members of the Ministry of Education music and Dance teaching Guidance Committee, and 10 postgraduate tutor. In the past five years, the members have presided over 48 items of research projects and received scientific research funds of 1.437 million Yuan. Among them, there is 4 the Ministry of Education Humanities and social science project, 3 Jiangsu Provincial Education Science Planning Project, 1 Jiangsu Province Social Science Foundation project, 2 Jiangsu Provincial Art Fund Project, 5 Jiangsu Provincial Educational Department Project, 1 Jiangsu Province Social and Science alliance Project, Wuxi Social and Science alliance Project, and more than 10 the school-level key project and vital horizontal project.

Teachers in team published 206 articles, published 19 monographs and textbooks. Those high-level papers include 17 CSSCI-papers, 21 extensive-CSSCI-papers, and 81 papers on Chinese core issues published by Peking University. In addition, Team members also have won 3 "Lotus Prize" of the National Art Exhibition and performance, 5 excellent paper awards of philosophy and Social Sciences in Jiangsu Province, 1 special award in Jiangsu Provincial competition of Art Education Paper, 1 Jiangsu Provincial undergraduates Art Exhibition and Art Education Paper Award, and 1 grand prize and 5 first prize in Jiangsu Provincial undergraduates Art performance.
